The command-name (as of 5.0, I think) is :SETCOUNTER.
':help setcounter' shows:
SETCOUNTER
 
     Sets the next value of a specified resource counter, and optionally
     enables automatic rollback when a specified limit is reached.
     Duplicate values are avoided.
 
SYNTAX
 
     SETCOUNTER [COUNTER=] [ INSP    ]
                           [ OUTSP   ]
                           [ JOBNUM  ]
                           [ SESSNUM ]
                [; BASE = <num>]
