One other point John made, which is one thing which has always bugged me,
is the habit of some people to hit "reply" without cutting out the
irrelevant parts of the message being responded to. Sometimes you will see
copies of every single message in the thread, plus all the .sigs, plus
multiple copies of the HP3000-L tag line.
