Terry,

I reread your message and if I understand it correctly, now that school
does *not* have the 932 yet. The OCA utility that I mentioned earlier is
also available in the MPE/V platform. Talk to HP about getting it and scan
the canned package.

Terry,

HP used to provide a 'Migration planning tool' called OCA (Object Code
Analyzer) that would scan SLs, PROGs and other object files and produce a
report that could be used to verify which programs needed special
attention. We are on a 967 and OCA is on our system. I'd suggest that you
copy the run modules and SLs of the canned package to the 932 and scan them
using OCA. That may help validate or dismiss the vendor's concerns.

(I'm making an assumption here that HP has been 'upgrading' their OCA
utility to keep pace with the current releases of MPE/iX)

Regards

They want more money for software licensing vis-a-vis size of CPU. Only
other problem would be extra data segments (XDS) require switch-stubs. Not
exactly the easiest thing to code without source code. Listing capabilities
for the program files (PROG) and groups and accounts where the software
resides would tell you if PM or DS was required. If my memory serves me
correctly you need to run LISTDIR5.PUB.SYS.
