<PLUG ALERT> Though not designed for home use (I use it at home though! ;-) )
the latest versions of NetMail/3000 via the menu interface allow users -if
allowed by the administrator- to define "rules" for the processing of incoming
mail messages, including searching for words in the body or various headers
of mail messages, and performing various actions; including the ability to
delete them. Among other things, I use this to automatically file messages
from specific lists into appropriate folders; and when I'm out of the office
for extended periods, sometimes add a rule to forward copies of messages that
contain mention of "netmail" or "desklink" to someone else so they get handled
without having to wait for me. </PLUG ALERT>
As for Eudora, I believe the freeware version (the one you typically get from
ISPs) does not include filtering capability. If you pay for their commercial
version (something like $30 I think?) that version does supposedly include
rules/filtering capability, as well as some other advanced features.
