I have the same problem  ...

My printer used to work fine for months, and suddenly this problem occured 4
times since last week.

I think there must be a problem at the end of the print job. The spoolfile
is still active, and the printer does not return in a ready state, but
continusly displays the spoolfile number.
The only turnaround for me is to turn the printer off, delete the spoolfile,
and it works again for a while.
I suspected an hardware failure, but as I see, I'm not alone ...

We are also on MPE/iX 6.0, and the printer is a HP Laserjet 4050N with a
internal jetdirect card.
My 12 other laserprinter don't seem to be affected by this problem.

Our configuration in NPCONFIG and the env file are similar.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
