What you are describing is a user state migration. A good place to begin is
with the "User State Migration Toolkit" at
<http://www.microsoft.com/technet/desktopdeployment/userstate/userstateusmt.mspx>.
If you search microsoft.com for "user state migration", you will get about
fifty hits. As you might guess, the process is not always seemless.
