We have used the 3400 intermec barcode printers now for a couple of
years and they have worked fine with no problems so far.  We attach them
as a "dumb" printer to the hp3000 via a dtc and we download our own
forms to the printer with escape sequences and control codes.  We do all
of this in QUIZ so we don't use any special software.  Hope this helps!
