I'm looking for any help, suggestions, direction I can get in trying
to direct connect, through the DTC, an 8100N laser jet to my HP3000.

We currently have an old IIIsi laserjet there that we'd like to
replace.  I know that when we set this one up we had to buy a Statback
card from Excellink to get the two to talk.  Unfortunately it looks
like Excellink is out of business as I have tried to call them for
information and can't seem to locate them.

Although we could probably put this printer on the network and use
Espul to print to it, we'd like to have it direct connected so that we
can "hog" the printer and use it only for HP3000 stuff rather than
having all kinds of PC stuff coming to it.

I'm not a technical person (sorry) -- am more of a programmer so I'd
appreciate any help I can get.
