There are two reasons for an SA2216. Both deal with a transaction manager structure called the "copy forward buffer" which is an
array. The first type of SA2216 is caused when we exceed the maximum number of elements in that array. The second is when the copy
forward buffer exceeds the size of an XM log half.
The first type of SA2216 has a patch for called MPEMXB3. That patch has been superseded for 6.5 and 7.0 so here are the patches
you'd need for each release:
6.5 - MPEMXE5A
7.0 - MPEMXC7A
7.5 - MPEMXB3C (hasn't been superseded yet)
The 2nd type of SA2216 has not, as far as I am aware, occurred so I do not believe there is a patch for that one. If your system
does not have the MPEMXB3 patch then the only way to distinguish one from the other is via a memory dump.
Hope that helps.
