We have a remote network printer that has a fixed public IP address and is
connected to the server using a DSL line. Printing to this printer works
from NT but not from HP3000. My question is, does the configuration of this
particular printer in NPCONFIG need to be different under these
circumstances?
The NPCONFIG file is similar to the listing below. The device starting with
63 is the DSL connected remote printer. When a spool file is sent to it, it
disappears, and a warning message is displayed on the console to the effect
that page level recovery will not be performed on this spool file.
Some of the other printers, which are at another remote location, are
connected by a T1 line and work fine.
Thanks for any help
