Can anyone suggest sources or references that will help me get a better
handle on topics like the OSI seven layer stack, TCP/IP, sockets, shims
and other stuff I don't know about yet? I'd like to be able to see
just how windows based programs differ from dos based programs in their
use of network access. How is the order of loading network software
critical? From the ground up, I'd like to understand how a PC accesses
a network and why multiple stacks can't coexist. For example, I can't
seem to get Minisoft and Reflection to work together on the same PC, at
the same time. I'd really like to see a detailed discussion. Thanks in
advance!
