Outfence must be allowed. Vesoft can do this by some entries in the
SECURCON file. Here are two examples from one of our systems:

$ALLOW @ CAP=SM
$ALLOW ABORTJOB @,@.OPERATOR

The first one allows all operator commands to any user that has SM, the
second allows the ABORTJOB to any user that signs on in the OPERATOR
account. Hope this helps.

[HP3000-L] withcaps and outfence?

hi all!

i'd like to grant a particular user the temporary ability to issue an
outfence command. since we have mpex and security, withcaps seems like
the perfect fit. however...this is what i'm getting:

:main.pub.vesoft;info='otfence.spcmd'
Executing WITHCAPS "op",OUTFENCE 13;dev=lp3nb
Executing this operator command by other than the master operator
requires permission by the ALLOW or ASSOCIATE commands. (CIERR 3247)

here's the streamx.data line:

$withcaps-permit sysoper.sys otfence.spcmd.sys "op"

and the otfence.spcmd command file:

withcaps "op",outfence 13;dev=lp3nb

it all looks right to me. is 'outfence' not a command that withcaps
can help with? am i missing a step?? - d
