Just as a guess, I'd say that your change cannot be made interactively.  If
you run IOCONFIG, the "md" function is not available, and I'm basing my
theory on that.  Not all IO config changes may be performed on a live
system.  Hopefully, someone else with better knowledge will weigh in.

Subject:  sysgen & DOIONOW




Hello,

I just used sysgen to put ldev 7, the DDS drive, in autoreply mode.  After
keeping the changes, I issued the DOIONOW command, and I get a message that
there are "no pending sysgen config changes."  Apparently the
LOG4ONLN.PUB.SYS file isn't being created.  What gives?

Here's what I typed in:
