Ahhh... Grasshopper :)
You have seen the surface of the shimmerring pond.... but you must
look deep into the waters of the data processing ... and see the risk you
must mitigate ... (said in my best "Kung Fu TV Master" voice hehehehe)
Seriously tho.... how many of these consoles are not properly
controlled/secured? Could they be "hyjacked" as Ray suggested (but I
spelled differently because I get enough visits from members of 3 letter
organizations wearing cheap suits hehehe)
I used to lock the keyboard into the CPU cabinet in a former life so
people could observe the console if they were in the data center but not
touch without the keys which were somewhat secured... this was not a great
solution but helped when auditors asked about it :)
Thanks,

An excellent question, Grasshopper.
2 reasons: 1) because you can, and 2) to start on topic discussions about
bragging rights.
