I know it takes a bit more time, but it is so much more fun and such a
better deal to build your own; but honestly the best PC I ever had is my
current one, bought the Case, BIOSTAR backplane A785GE 6.4, AMD AthlonII x
2, DVR, 2 600GB Drives, 4GB Memory and Windows 7, $650 total and it is
upgradable. Good enough to play STO.
At first when I was looking at building my own, you tend to fall into the; I
want liquid cooled 16 GB memory dual quad processors etc, but unless your
running NORAD you don't need any of the fancy stuff.
Also look at AMD instead of Intel; sorry I said that Intel is awesome but
double the price. Just make sure your mother board supports the dual or quad
processors for upgrade options.

What's your price range? I think you can do better.

In your opinion, between these two HP PC's (a6120n or m7160), which one
would you choose ?
How about for for speed or for Windows 7 professional ?
Olav.
