Hi HP3000-L,
My PostgreSQL source diffs are now available:
http://www.bixby.org/mark/postgresql-7.0.3-diff.txt
These are all of the source code changes & additions required to get PostgreSQL
running on MPE. Well, almost all; an ld wrapper I had to write to support the
-r parameter is omitted, but only because it doesn't live within the PostgreSQL
source tree. Please wait for the full bixby.org distribution before attempting
to build PostgreSQL yourselves.
Thanks go to public & private e-mails from Mark Klein for the assembly code
portions.
Most of the compile-time changes were due to missing include files that aren't
required on MPE. You'll see the same problem repeated over and over.
Most of the run-time changes solved problems appearing in other ports, so lots
of code has just been copied from elsewhere.
These diffs are not quite pristine enough to submit back to postgresql.org yet,
but I just had to declare a code freeze if there is to be any chance for me to
put together a binary distribution over the weekend.
PS: My ISP's telco has been having problems today which may affect your access
to www.bixby.org.
