However, what Steve has been howling about is not what the current issue is
about.  Steve Gibson is concerned about the implementation of Raw Berkeley
Sockets within Windows XP thus enabling IP spoofing and making XP the launch
pad for DDoS attacks on other systems.  The current issue is one that has to
do with how XP has enabled users to gain access of XP machines across the
Internet.  In this case, the XP machine is the final target.  Then again
with raw sockets, this XP machine could in turn be used to launch DDoS
attacks on other systems.
