Dear Paul,

I got the following from an excellent NT FAQ that has helped me a
few times:

Q. Can I undelete a file in NT?

A. It depends on the file system. NT has no undelete facility, however if the
filesystem was FAT then boot into DOS and then use the dos undelete utility.
With the NT Resource kit there is a utility called DiskProbe which allows a user
to view the data on a disk, which could then be copied to another file. It is
possible to search sectors for data using DiskProbe.

Norton also provide a utility which can undelete files from within NT called
Norton Utilities at http://www.symantec.com/

This information is from the following NT FAQ:

http://www.savilltech.com/ntfaq/filesystems.html#filesystems7

If you want to go to the main menu for the faq please try:

http://www.savilltech.com/ntfaq.html

I don't know who these people are, but their faq has helped me on
two occasions and it appears to be updated from time to time.

Neil
