The Navy still has a lot of classic systems, and has recently upgrated to
MPE V/E release 40, so we asked our HP sales rep how much it would cost to
get the MPE V/E release 40 source code.

We wanted the source and tables manual because some of the PM code has
stumbled across some system table changes (no system failures, just "this
doesn't look right so I'm terminating" messages from the programs).

So far I've been able to use DEBUG (and other toolds) to figure out the
changes and modify the source code to compensate for the changes, but I'd
prefer to have a current tables manual and the source code rather than an
old tables manual with notes written in and a binder of debug displays and
notes.

Well my HP sales rep (who is a personal friend) just called, laughing.
He now has a price for the MPE V/E release 40 source code. Keep in mind
that the source code and tables manual was about $500 the last time it
was purchased. Are you ready? Are you sitting down?

    !!!!!!!! $ 10,000 Yes! $ 10,000 !!!!!!!!

Hmmmm. I guess I'll be spending more time in MPE V/E's debug...
