Sorry for the waste of bandwidth for, I'm sure, the vast majority
of you.

It appears that since our net connectivity problem a week ago, all
outgoing email from Allegro may have been caught in the throat of
OpenMail, and hence not gone out. So if you've sent us email in the
last week and have not gotten a response, or were expecting something
from us via email last week, it's not that we've been ignoring you.

As soon as we can figure out where to squeeze, we'll be attempring to
apply the Heimlich Maneuver to OpenMail to get it to spit out the 63
pending messages that it has locked inside of it.

Just in case we have any openMail gurus out there, can anyone tell me
what to do about the following error that causes the Internet Mail
Gateway to abort as soon as it is started:

> SERIOUS ERROR Internet Mail (Outgoing ) 09.06.99
> 15:49:52
> [OM.UX 1131] A SMTP error has been detected.
> The gateway will be stopped. Last reply received was:
> 501 x@Y.Z... Sender domain must exist

Incoming email is working fine. The only thing that changed was that our
Internet link was down for about 12 hours a week ago. We have rebooted
the machine that openMail is running on, to no effect.

Thanks,

Gavin
