Response from ITRC (known problem)

   Yes this is a known problem - first - did you notice any errors/warning
on the STORE that looked like this

STORED BECAUSE ONLY ROOT FILE QUALIFIED FOR DATE OPTION??

if so -

The following workarounds can be used:
o On the restore, specify the desired database using the
rootdb,rootdb?#;PARTDB construct to fool STORE so it doesn't know it's
restoring a complete database;
e.g.: RESTORE *smi4d;exampl.image2.lemen,exampl?#.image2.lemen;
SHOW;KEEP;PARTDB
 o On the store, use the ;PARTDB option to cause store not to set up/use
appsets, thereby avoiding the problem;
e.g.: STORE smijunk.dat,[log in to unmask],[log in to unmask],smijunk2.dat,
[log in to unmask],[log in to unmask];*smi4d;SHOW;ONLINE=START;
DATE>=1/19/2000;PARTDB
The problem with this workaround is that for databases where not all ofthe
datasets qualify for the ;DATE>= parameter, the use of ;PARTDBinstead of the

default (;FULLDB) will cause only the qualifying datasets to be stored
rather than the full database.

There IS a beta patch available MPELX58 to fix the problem - or the
workarounds
