On the old MPE/V systems you could configure a disk as serial and write to
it as a tape.

You could use a data base tool like ADAGER to copy the databases, and FCOPY
to copy the KSAM files. I think that Stan had a COPY program that was part
of KELLY's RAMDISC package that could also do database and other files.
