Sam,

TT22 will _only_ work with  HP printers or exact emulations.  What you
need to use is TT18.  This won't give you any status back, but it will
let you print.  Alternatively, you could buy one of the many external HP
printer emulation boxes, use TT22, and print to the Epson that way.
