We have been using the Online Backup Option for quite some time.  Normally
backup is done at night when few users are doing anything but it does seem to
work well.  Most useful when a second tape is required due to either tape
errors or more data than one DDS can hold (perhaps operator error of putting
a shorter tape than required i.e. a 90 rather than a 120).
We use the NOTIJOB option to restart some background jobs that are stopped
for the initiation of the backup so their files are backed up and to restore    limits.  We have 5.0 and 5.5  and 6.0 systems.
