Yes, he has made that claim before.

I could walk down and register as a democrat at any time as well, but
that would not mean I actually believed in or supported their ideas.

While your method of calling me a Nazi was mildly amusing, and actually
a double insult since the Nazi party was socialist as well as murderous
(or is that redundant), I must admit I find your attempt to align
yourself with President Lincoln's philosophy humorous.
