Did you change the file /etc/mailx.rc to
set sendmail=/SENDMAIL/PUB/SENDMAIL
and changed the /etc/sendmail.cf to point to the DS server ?
More info is available under http://www.hillschmidt.de/gbr/articles.htm (select
the Free eMail article.)

Subject: Sendmail/iX Question

Hi Everyone!
Just have a quick question for those of you who know all about Sendmail/iX!
I am in the process of trying to get this up and working. I have gone
through the installation and I "think" I have set up everything correctly,
however, I get an error message each time I try to send out a "test" email.
Here is the command I am typing and the corresponding error.

$mailx -s "test" [log in to unmask] < README
Must set "sendmail" (to /bin/rmail, for example) use remote addresses.
"dead.letter" 411/15675

Does anyone have any ideas? I can successfully use the "mailx" command to
send mail between users on the 3000, I just can't get "remote mail"
addresses working.

Any help will be most appreciated.

Thanks,
Tim Manns
