How many folks are using PERFVIEW to gather historical performance data on
their MPE/iX boxes?
Conversely how many are using something else?

We are using SCOPE/iX since years/decades.

What factors influenced the decision one way or the other?
When it was bought it was the only available product.

Have users of PERFVIEW noticed any problems with differences between Un*x
and NT clients for displaying historical data?
LaserRX was the PC tool to get direct access to LOG files in SCOPE.
This product is now obsolete. All customers could get a NT MeasureWare Agent.
This tool is able to analyze an extract out of SCOPE but ...

What is the operational impact on having to FTP data files from MPE/iX to
some other platform for analysis?

... you need to run an Extract,
... you need to FTP a file to your NT WS, or you have to install Samba/iX ...
... currently drill down to processes doesn't work.

In the past I already posted some statements about the NT client - you may
recall/re-read.

I'm happy that LaserRX still works for 5.5(4) ... and I'm not the only one ...
(Donna, you'll agree, right :-)
