This is obviously some new definition of the word "saver" that I haven't
previously encountered.

Having seen the convergence of an expensive monitor permanently destroyed
by someone who walked up and said "ha, ha, look at this" and proceeded to
wave a powerful magnet in front of the screen, I don't recommend this
experiment.  Yes, the monitor will make pretty colors (from as far as four
feet from the monitor with a good magnet) but you may find that no amount
of degaussing will remove that rainbow from the screen if you get too
close.
