Hi all,
There are two new source and binary archives on jazz.
1) GLIMPSE vers 4.0 sources and binaries. This package was ported by
Rakesh Saha - CSY Bangalore. Below is a brief description of glimpse:
"Glimpse is a very powerful indexing and query system that allows you to
search through all your files very quickly. It can be used by
individuals for their personal file systems as well as by organizations
for large data collections. Glimpse is also the basis of GlimpseHTTP,
which provides search for web sites, and it is the default search engine
in Harvest ..." More info is on jazz at: jazz.external.hp.com/src/src.html
2) unix wrappers. A bunch of unix and posix routines that compliment our
posix.1 APIs. Steve Hoogheem, CSY, is responsible for most of the
wrappers. Source code. Mark Bixby has looked at this and may be able
to provide more details. Also anyone willing to organize and index these
sources will be "rewarded" (well, I have a CSY "HP World" tee-shirt in
size L or XL).
regards,
Jeff Vance, CSY
