Even if you will count only Soldiers fighting in Polish uniforms under
Polish commanders, not underground fighers, still it seems unfair to
say that 700.000 soldiers was "minimal" contribution.

Yeah, maybe it seems unfair. Maybe there are cosmic forces which
are influencing my vocabulary and making me pick the wrong words this
month, or something....
I can't think of another word to use. Basically, Poland collapsed in
a short time, and although they supplied manpower to the allied cause
there still needs to be a country with an industrial base to keep the
manpower fit for battle, and Polands industrial base belonged to the
Axis.....
