No, there should be no "weirdness" with either Netbase or Shareplex :).
 Shadowing "sees" only the master volume on both machines, and MPE takes
care of the mirrored volumes.  So, if you had two machines with mirroring
and shadowing (assuming you were shadowing a database on a volume that is
being mirrored), you would have four copies of your database.
