Greetings,

We are migrating to Linux from our HP3000 and were
excited about Rosetta Store that would be a tool
to access data stored on fairly old and fairly new
HP3000 machines.

We were told last week that this product probably
was not going to be available for restore to Linux
boxes because they don't see a market for that venue.

Linux was mentioned on their website previously, now
it's not...

If you go to Allegro's website and do a FIND
for "2005", you'll see where Rosetta Store for Linux is
set to ship in early 2005.

I'm sure we're not the only organization migrating to Linux
that need software of this nature. I've Googled "MPE
restore to Linux", but didn't find a whole lot.

Do any of you know anything about this, or, if you're going
to Linux, what are you doing about data stored on MPE Store tapes?

Thanks,

Ernie
