Hello. Just wanted to verify that if we wanted to mirror our
mpexl_system_volume_set, we would need to do that with a niki box or a mod
20 (or another va7100) and that the mirroring would be done by the san and
not mpe, correct? We have a 969 that is on our va7100 and the system volume
is on there, but our production 989 the system is not on the va. Don't ask
where we are going to get the scsi channels for that, guess we dump the
haas's and use the 6 channels that are feeding those for the mod20 or
whatever. Let's see, if we switch the cables real fast, we don't have to go
down, right??

Also, since autoraid can come back and cause you serious problems if your
application does not follow the standard rules for how you would do things,
can you set the va up to be just raid5, or raid 1+0, without the auto? I
think the auto part is killing us, because we do things in a non-standard
way, or at least a way that is not standard to the rest of the world. I
think the va spends all day switching 300,000 files (200,000 of then purged
and created today) from raid 1+0 to raid5 and back again.

Also also (expecting the answer "no"), can you use the expansion expansion
i/o slot on a 989ks450, the one in-between the hse slot that has the two
opal's on it and the back two of the 4 processors (i.e., can we add another
hse or more scsi slots to the thing and still have everything else work?).

Thanks.
