ntpd -q is not 100% equivalent to ntpdate.

When I was porting NTP 4.1.0, I saw that ntpdate notice and then discovered
ntpd -q and thought "aha!", let's switch to using -q. But alas, it was not
meant to be.

It seems that -q does a bunch of mini clock adjustments before making the final
clock adjustment and exiting. Those mini clock adjustments screw up your
clock(s) as described by SR 5003462838.

So for now, ntpdate is still the preferred way to do a one-time adjustment of
your e3000 clock. FWIW, ntptimeset will also work. But ANY use of ntpd to
adjust your clock WILL NOT work.

I have no updated status on that SR to share with you. :-(

- Mark B.

PS: ntpd -q relies on the ntpd configuration file to choose the time server(s)
used for the clock adjustment.
