Fred wrote: "Firstly, many homosexual couples don't have any children.

Secondly, those that do rarely have more than one or two, whereas many
heterosexual couples have 3, 4, 5 or more placing, on average, a larger
burden on our school system and all other support facilities,

The one or two raised by those few homosexual couples are adopted and
may otherwise be raised by a sequence of foster parents.

The fewer children of homosexual parents place less strain on the
educational system.

Their parents tend to be better educated with higher incomes than the
average heterosexual couples. This enables them to reside in better
environments with better schools. All of this gives the average child
of homosexual parents better opportunities for success than the average
child of heterosexual parents or than they would have had as orphans.

Once again, demonstrating a firm grasp of reality. Unfortunately,
Fred's reality in not of this planet.

Fred subscribes to virtually all the myths propagated by utopians, :) ,
one of them being "there are too many people on the planet and they are
reproducing too fast." Nonsense.

The population pyramids show the nation is rapidly getting older as
fewer children are born and have been born in the last 25 or so years.
I recently came across this bit of news:

"U.S. pregnancy, birth and abortion rates decline in 1990s. The CDC says
pregnancy, birth and abortion rates dropped from 1990 to 1999.

Pregnancies fell seven percent, to six-point-28 (M) million in 1999.
The birth rate declined nine percent, to 64-point-four per one-thousand
women ages 15 to 44. And the abortion rate went down 22 percent, to
21-point-four per one-thousand women.

Teen pregnancy rates reached historic lows, dropping 25 percent. The
teen birth rate dropped 19 percent, and the teen abortion rate was down
39 percent."

The pregnancy rate is already very low and about one quarter of these
pregnancies are "interrupted." We are not "placing a strain on the
educational system;" we have fewer children going through it now than 10
or 20 years ago. Certainly on a percentage basis, the number is far
lower now than at any time in the last 50-100 years.

I remember when I went to school (40+ years ago); there were 30+ pupils
in class each and every year of grade school and high school. Now we
scream if there are more than 12 pupils in a classroom with one teacher
and one assistant.

Also Fred, I would say the vast majority of gay couples do NOT have any
children. I would further say that the vast majority straight couples
have just one or two children, more than 3 is much rarer than it used to
be, but God knows we need all the children we can get.

Finally, the situation in the U.S. is not unique, it is repeated all
around the globe and in many countries the situation is far, far worse.
I think the most explosive area is China, where the population pyramid
has totally turned upside down and where there is a deficit of 100
million women, due to the aggressive population control practiced in
that country. In another 5-10 years, China is going to be hurting,
badly. Japan is also in grave danger. In Europe, Germany is headed for
disaster as is the UK and other places.

The utopians believe we are overpopulating the planet and want people to
stop reproducing. They should be careful what they wish for.
