Hello all IMAGE users that are HP employees:

Tuesday evening 10 March I posted a message to 3000-L
that announced online web availability of the March '98
SIGIMAGE Newsletter and the '98 Enhancement Ballot.

The question of whether or not direct HP employees that
are users of TurboIMAGE or Image/SQL should vote on the
Ballot was brought to the SIGIMAGE Executive Committee
(SIEC). All comments from the SIEC received by the Chair
on this issue were in favor of allowing and in fact encouraging
ALL HP employees who use and work on IMAGE anywhere
within Hewlett-Packard to join other users in casting their
vote on this ballot.

Since as part of the ballot process on the web this year we
are asking voters to give us the name of their company, it will
perhaps be interesting to see if internal HP users of IMAGE
have the same enhancement priorities as outside customers.

So if you use IMAGE and work for HP, on behalf of the SIEC
I invite you to cast your vote by pointing your browser at:

> http://www.csillc.com/sigimage/
>
Your voting on IMAGE enhancements will be recorded in an
IMAGE database. At the above URL you will also find links
to the hot-off-the-press March 1998 issue of the SIGIMAGE
Newsletter, published in a variety of popular formats....

There will be an interim update on the '98 Ballot results at the
SIGIMAGE meeting at IPROF-98 in eight days. So unless
any pending voters have last minute questions they want to
ask at IPROF before casting their ballot, if at all possible I
would ask everyone to vote at the above URL by close of
business on Monday 16 March '98. But as per previous
message, all ballots received by Tuesday 31 March will be
included in the totals sent forward to Interex for the System
Improvement Ballot (SIB) that goes out to the entire Interex
membership....

Let's hear from all those internal HP users of IMAGE
on the 1998 Ballot !!

thanks,

Ken Sletten
SIGIMAGE Chair
