changes effective (:SWITCHNMLOG UPDATE)
3) re-produce the problem
4) switch NMLG-file again
5) have a look into NMLG-file that was active while pbm was re-produced
looking for TCP retransmissions?
I'd be damned if there weren't any. If there truely aren't and the HP3000
LINKTRACE shows that all packets were sent and no retransmissions occur,
then the problem is not on the HP3k.
If there are re-transmissions and the events timing in linktrace
correlates with screen painting timing, that means network or PC
side problems.
If there are no retransmissions, but the original sends are delayed
and timing matches with the PC screen painting, there's something
wrong with the hp3k software or hardware... (traces, traces, traces !!!!).
...whatever this is worth,
