"Rao, Ragu" <[log in to unmask]> asks

>leading zeroes ? If so, how ?

He then shows a couple of Suprtool tasks, first one redefing the
X4 field as 'Display' and then in the 2nd task he adds '0000' in
the extract.

Ragu, you can completely remove the 2nd task, it is unneeded. You've
already done everything correctly in the first task. The leading zeroes
are already in the SEQ1 field. It may not look like they are there
because you are using Suprtool's LIST command to look at them and the
LIST command suppresses leading zeroes.

To prove to yourself that the zeroes are already there, you should
use the MPE PRINT command:

 :PRINT RAGST305

p.s. Suprtool is spelled without an 'e' ...
