We use a product called NBSpool to do just this. Its very inexpensive.
Basically you have a background job that examines the spool-files and it
sends the output to which ever printer you need on the network. The job can
select by all sorts of criteria. Can also be used on-line.

        Subject: Printer question

        Lister friends,
How can we direct output from programs in HP3000 jobstreams to
printers
directly hung off our network with JetDirect cards? What would the
file
statement look like? Would Samba help? Is there another way? TIA.
