Howdy,

I'm not going to repeat all of the thread leading me here as not
only are there several on this subject but also many which are
related.  Through all of them I seem to have gotten a concept
and need to find out how wrong it is.

I gather:

If I go to MPE/iX 5.5 power patch 1 I can get a handful of Jetdirect
(or Intel or whatever) cards for our HP256x printers and then dispose
of our DTC's and DTC Manager.  The DTC,s are replaced by network
printing and DTC Manager is replaced by Telnet sessions.

At this point I'm not so interested in details as whether the concept
is correct.  Well, that's not true either as I also would like to
see the Telnet startup "cheat sheet" mentioned by Mike Tilford.
