Could it be that in the HP/UX implementation of "POSIX" that this
term stands for "Proprietary Operating System Interface for uX" ?
 
I have that same feeling about a previous TV episode dealing with
this eerie subject matter, but believe that it may have been
on the "X-Files" .................
