The nice thing about using Linked Servers is that you can
logically do joins between TurboImage datasets and SQL Server
tables.  Of course you need to be very aware of the underlying
data or else you may not think your query is ever going to
come back to you :)

I just use Minisoft's ODBC drivers and in my web app I import
Microsoft.Data.Odbc.  Then, just use the odbc classes to access your data.

I have tried using Linked Servers and User Defined Functions within SQL
Server 2000, but I had some problems.  I think the problems are due to the
UDFs and it would probably work using Stored Procedures.  But using the ODBC
directly from the web app is so easy and probably more efficient, so I'm
sticking with that.
