Thus it was written in the epistle of Dinu Iulian,
> We have a HP3000 (S937)server with MPE/iX 5.5 where we run our programs

Dinu,
I'm glad to hear that you have not yet purchase your HP9000, because I think
that you would be well-advised to reconsider that decision. The 9000 does
not have TurboImage. You cannot simply move your programs over and have them
run on the 9000, and while the 9000 is an excellent computer for some things,
I do not think that anyone here would (except in perhaps some very rare
circumstances) recommend your moving your 3000 apps over there.
Perhaps if you could explain a bit more about what you are attempting to
accomplish, we could aid you in finding a method of accomplishing it without
the trouble and expense of migrating off "the crown jewel of the computer
industry" :-).

Time was when all the parts of the subject were dissevered, when algebra,
geometry, and arithmetic either lived apart or kept up cold relations of
acquaintance confined to occasional calls upon one another; but that is now
at an end; they are drawn together and are constantly becoming more and more
intimately related and connected by a thousand fresh ties, and we may
confidently look forward to a time when they shall form but one body with
one soul.
