Barry,
Sounds like your customer did not have Mirror/iX on the SUBSYS tape for one
reason or another (did they forget to put it under support after purchasing
it?) Outdated versions of MIRVUTIL will behave oddly, or worse hang a
system. And there appears to be no OS version checking in MIRVUTIL.
Furthermore, in a redux of the MOVER fiasco, both the 6.0 and 5.5 versions
of MIRVUTIL report the same version number in the banner. I don't know if
this has been fixed yet or not.
