As a Win98 user, having lived in OKC for so long, and shaving with a
Braun electric razor, which has nothing to do with being on the bleeding
edge, I don't have a problem with Win98 doing this, but will both try to
find and read the column, and find the Version Conflict Manager, and see
what happened. But so far, things seem OK.

I have had to replace more generic MS drivers with specific updated
drivers from vendor's own web sites, for my Graphics Blaster and other
devices, including my MS IntelliMouse TrackBall (ergonomically sweet!).
That seemed rather odd, but I did read that MS thought that hardware
vendors shouldn't have to be in the drivers business...
