    Seriously tho... My 957 only goes to Shut 6 about 70% of the time... I give
it 5 minutes at either Shut 4 or Shut 5 (If there is such a thing I ain't never
seen it!) and then do the power off or whatever else I need/planned to do :)

Inflect a bit of irritation here.

So why does it take this 987 (192 MB mem, 16 GB disc, 4 DTC's,
16 printers, misc other stuff ) take better'n 15 minutes to go from
Shut 4 to Shut 6 (usually has a sysabort before reaching shut6) ?

                                       secondary status info = -31, subsys = 107
                                        system halt 7, $028D

Took close to 20 minutes.  MPE/iX is 5.0.5.  I'm still hostile.
