"Intel provided concrete details of its 64-bit Merced processor
for the first time at the Microprocessor Forum today and announced
a low-cost 64-bit chip architecture [code-named 'Deerfield']."
No mention is made of the follow-on "McKinley" or of specific delivery
dates, other than to say that Merced is "on track."
