Try configuring your modems with the following options. It works for me.
S0=1 AUTOANSWER AFTER 1 RING
&C0 FORCE CARRIER DETECT
&D0 IGNORE DTR
&S0 FORCE DATASET READY
E0 NO ECHO
Q1 SUPPRESS RESULTS
&Q5 COMMUNICATE IN ERROR CONTROL MODE
Y0 SPECIFY USER PROFILE 0
&K0 DISABLE FLOW CONTROL
You will also need to use the correct cables from the modem to the DTC. Try HP part # 40233A and you must
set up the port as a us modem in open view.
