We've been running Sendmail on our HP3k's for nearly a year without many
problems. However, just last week, we are getting some intermittent hard
errors that prevents Sendmail from sending emails. This is an example of the
errors we are experiencing:

If we re-stream the job, it will likely be successful. We also run JSYSLOGD
along with Sendmail and here are some of errors it has reported:
Jan 6 10:18:43 fs1 syslogd: restart
Jan 6 11:01:21 localhost sendmail[393473]: NOQUEUE: SYSERR(MGR.DVUSER):
/etc/se
ndmail.cf: line 0: cannot open: file /etc/sendmail.cf changed after open
Jan 6 11:01:21 localhost sendmail[393473]: NOQUEUE: SYSERR(MGR.DVUSER):

Jan 6 13:14:19 localhost sendmail[589930]: NOQUEUE: SYSERR(MGR.DVUSER):

Jan 6 13:14:19 localhost sendmail[589930]: NOQUEUE: SYSERR(MGR.DVUSER):
/etc/se
ndmail.cf: line 0: cannot open: File changed after open
These are the access attributes to the sendmail.cf file:
-rwxr-xr-x 1 MANAGER.SYS 0 28199 Oct 12 12:23 sendmail.cf
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
