The President / Chairman / CEO of Hewlett Packard may or may not be at HP
World this year, but we do know where she will be [all things being equal
and the creeks don't rise] Tuesday, October 9, 2001.

She will be at Lake Buena Vista, Florida at the Gartner Symposium IT xpo,
scheduled to give answers to hard questions in a Mastermind Interview.

[It *WAS* tempting to say she would be IN Lake Buena Vista and leave
everyone wondering whether it was intentional!]

That day, the attendees will be privileged to hear not only her, but from
Craig Barrett, the President and CEO of Intel.

Of course, we're all going to be blown away by Steve Balmer, CEO of
Microsoft, the day before, in the Mastermind Keynotes.

On the succeeding days, those attending will hear from Michael Capellas,
Chairman and CEO of Compaq, and finally, last but not least [or maybe,
depending upon your point of view of the world--the least], Scott McNealy
of SUN looks to be the one who will wrap things up on the last day.

So I hope you take comfort in the fact that Carly is in good company with
some of the most powerful Corporate Executives in the Technology World.

And what ever you do, do *NOT*, repeat, *NOT*, look up the origin of the
word Symposium--we've been through this before and it might change the body
of attendees of either HP World and / or IT xpo [we're sure that a certain,
very nice, vendor from Canada, can accommodate us at HP World].
